Common Myths and Objections

September 20, 2015

Ladies, it is time to ditch those tampons for good and switch to the menstrual cup. We know it’s a daunting request. Sticking a strange contraption into your lady parts seems a little scary, but we are here to clear up some misconceptions about the Vubino.

Is it safe?

You betcha! In fact it’s safer than a tampon. The Vubino is made of 100% silicone rather than any plastics, chemicals, or fibrous cotton. Tampons can dry out your delicate lady parts and cause tearing when removed. These tears are potential breeding grounds for bacterial infections that cause Toxic Shock Syndrome. With Vubino, you eliminate these dangers and avoid any risk of TSS.

Will I feel it?

A menstrual cup is inserted kind of like a tampon. Obviously it will take some getting used to, but so did using tampons! Remember those hours you spent in the bathroom in middle school staring at the instructions from the tampon box? Once you find the best folding technique for inserting the cup, it will be just as effortless as inserting a tampon. Plus, once it’s inside you won’t feel it.

Is it messy?

“Gross! An overflowing cup of my stuff.” No! The Vubino actually collects three times the amount of blood that a tampon does. Plus it’s contained in a convenient cup that you simply empty out into the toilet. And the chances of you actually filling up the cup are very low. The Vubino can hold up to 1 ounce and you only produce about 1-2 ounces of blood per cycle. No more handling blood-soaked cotton sticks that create more garbage; especially when you have to wrap them in what seems like hundreds of feet of toilet paper before putting them in the trash can. Eliminate waste while also eliminating the stress of dealing with your monthly gift!

What about odor?

Odor is produced only when your menstrual flow is exposed to air. The Vubino stays inside of you and its suction actually seals your flow into place. Therefore there is no exposure to the air and odor is nonexistent.

What happens when I’m in a public restroom?

We get it. You don’t want other people to see your “stuff.” Don’t worry. Normally when you have to remove the cup you empty it out into the toilet and wash it off in the sink with warm water and mild soap. But, if you find yourself needing to empty it out in a public restroom there’s an option. Simply grab a wet paper towel before you go into the stall and wipe out the cup after you empty into the toilet. You can safely re-insert it and clean it when you get back home. Although, you probably won’t have to do this since the Vubino can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time! Just empty your cup before leaving the house and you’ll be good to go.

Can I wear it overnight?

Yup! Like we said before, the Vubino can be worn for up to 12 hours. That means no more ruined sheets that you have to clean the next morning! No more sleeping with giant diaper-like pads that bunch up in your underwear after tossing and turning in your sleep! No more getting up at 5 in the morning to change a tampon! Simply insert the Vubino before bed and rest easy knowing you won’t be ruining another pair of panties.

Did that clear some stuff up for you? Great! So what are you waiting for? Make the lifestyle change and order your Vubino today.
